Thousands of women united to place value on humanity

Sydney Entertainment Centre filled last night with thousands of women gathered at the opening celebrations of the 14th annual Colour Your World Women’s Conference.
The conference will once again see women from across generations rally together to place value on womanhood, and be inspired to become the solution wherever they see need.
“If you hear nothing else this weekend, hear this,” says Bobbie Houston, conference host and founder, and co-senior pastor of Hillsong Church. “Heaven believes in you, and so do we.”
“Today, at the start of 2010, we are on the front page of a whole new decade. A decade of faith exemplified, a decade of hope, and a decade of love,” she said.
At its core, the Colour Conference is humanitarian. Over the years delegates have sponsored thousands of children through Compassion, raised awareness and built several hundred homes for African orphans and widows.
They have contributed to the establishment of a clinic for abandoned babies in the African region of Gulu, raised thousands of dollars to rescue child soldiers and provided life-giving medication to HIV positive women in the war-torn nation of Uganda. This year, the conference will focus on the devastating realities of human trafficking and mobilise to rescue victims both locally and globally.
Over the next two days delegates will be presented with a number of new initiatives and social justice projects and gain the tools, insight and inspiration to be the change in their very own communities.
